DivX Player is a program that is used to replay videos which was developed by the DivX, Inc.

The files used by the DivX Player as temporary download files use the extension .dmsk, these files usually store information regarding .ddat files which contain the video that is also created when a DivX film is downloaded or streamed.

Once the download of the DivX video is complete the .dmsk files is no longer needed and is deleted by the program.
