Installshield which is developed by Flexera Software is a program that is used to create installation files for programs.

The program was originally developed by Stirling Technologies in 1992, at a later point this company was renamed to Installshield Corporation until the company was purchased by Macrovision in 2004, then in 2008 the company was sold again to the Acresso Software Corporation which has since become Flexera Software.

The program uses setting files which use the extension .iss.
