LTC is a multi platform program that is used for analysing text through the use of syntax trees. The program runs on Microsoft Windows, Mac OSX and Linux or Unix. the present version of the program is 3.0.0.

If you had saved an analysis using a program prior to the version 3 then it would be saved using the .ltc file extension, these files can be opened in the newer version of the program but it is not possible to save in the format, you will need to save in the ltcx format.

The saved files contain the syntactic analysis and the words from the piece of text regardless of whether it is a .ltc or .ltcx file.
