Microsoft Outlook is a Personal Information Manager which can be used as a email client as well as manage and organise contacts, later versions such as Outlook 2010 have had the support of Social Networking added.
It is possible to add functions to Outlook, this is done through the use of add-on files that have the file extension .ecf.
