Husqvarna is Swedish company that was formed in 1689 to produce muskets for the Swedish army, in 1978 the company was acquired by the Electrolux Group and has gone on to produce a variety of appliances for Construction especially cutting and drilling tools, various garden appliances such as Lawnmowers, Grass cutting Tractors etc plus the appliance for which they are probably most known the chainsaw, there was also a Husqvarna motorcycle with models built for Motocross and Enduro though this now belongs to BMW and Husqvarna Sewing Machines.

Some of the Husqvarna Sewing machines support embroidery and use there own file format which has the .hus file extension for templates that contain the stitching patterns.
