ArchiCAD  is a CAD program for use in architectural and BIM (Building Information modelling areas.The first versions of the program were released in 1982 for the Apple Macintosh. Today ArchiCAD is available for Windows and Mac OS X. 3D models created by the program use the .pln file extension.
