PostScript is a language used for describing pages and is usually found in desktop publishing. PostScript Level 2 was introduced in 1991 and had many improvement compared to Level 1 such as being faster and more reliable, Image decompression, composite fonts etc.

Postscript 2 files have the .ps2 files and are known as PostScript Level 2 Files.
