Softwrap is a digital marketing and distribution system which includes many features including Digital Rights Management to help prevent software piracy.

One of the ways that Softwrap controls the use of a software is the use of files which control how and where the program is used, this file is saved to the users computer and authenticates that the user has a licence to use the program.

These files are known as Softwrap Licence Control files and have the .sw2 file extension.
