Concept Application Server also known as CAS makes use of technology where the application communicates with the thin client interface this is done using the Concept data secured protocol which makes it possible to send messages between the application and client over the internet or through the server. This makes it possible to develop complex online software.

Application source files created by Concept Application Server use the file extension .con so to run an application in a browser you would have to have the Concept Client installed then use the following format concept://server.com/application/app.con
