Binary to hexadecimal or BinHex is a process that transforms Binary files to BinHex so that they can be transmitted over the Internet as ASCII files.

This is usually used on Macintosh computers to send images, documents and multimedia files and is also a part of the Macintosh mail software and is able to encode and decode with the user being unaware of this.
