Visio uses shapes and elements to create drawing this is done using drag and drop and is often used in business environments.

Others uses for Visio is the creation of charts and time-lines which can be created by the user or through the use of predefined templates.

Microsoft Visio integrates with the Microsoft Office Suite seamlessly and can be used with the Office applications Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
