The Java Web Application Server that is from Apple inc. is known as WebObjects, as well as being a application server it is also a framework used to make applications. Originally it was developed by NeXT Software until it was merged in to Apple in 1997. Since 2004/5 WebObjects has been a part of the Mac OS X operating system, the last update of WebObjects took place in 2008 and since then it has not been developed further.
