iTunes is available for Mac OS X and for Windows.

Library files used by the program use the extension .itl

The itl file is a database that contains a list of the media in
the library and can be found at the following path.

Windows

\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Library.itl

Mac OS X

/Users/username/Music/iTunes/iTunes Library

If the itl file is deleted all playlists, comments and ratings will no longer be available.
